Sex Songs: The 69 Steamiest Tunes ... Ever

Posted Nov 17th 2009 5:37PM By: PopEater Staff

From George Michael to Madonna, everyone loves a good sex song. These timeless tracks are not your typical sentimental love tunes -- they're all about getting in the mood. Do you agree with our list of sexy songs? After reading through our picks, let us know which sexy songs should have made the cut.

69. George Michael, 'I Want Your Sex'

In '87, when the man from Wham! dropped this seductive hit (which he then claimed was about monogamy), many thought it was his attempt to woo the pants off of actress Brooke Shields. Once he got caught looking for gay nookie in public bathrooms years later, many realized they'd thought wrong. -- M. Tye Comer
Sexiest Lyric: "Don't you know I love you 'til it hurts me baby/Don't you think it's time you had sex with me?"

68. Nelly Furtado, 'Promiscuous'

Nelly told us that this song title -- and that of her 2006 album 'Loose' -- refers to her "really relaxed and free" approach to making music. Sounds nice, but after hearing the song's deliciously irresponsible lyrics, we can't help but think that she didn't tell us the whole story. -- Kim Davis
Sexiest Lyric: "Promiscuous boy, you already know/That I'm all yours. What you waiting for?"

67. Mazzy Star, 'Fade Into You'

More sensitive than sexy, this sad and sultry 1994 alterna-hit is the soundtrack to candlelit dorm-room grope sessions across the country. It's still the go-to track when theater majors are looking to score. -- Jason Persse
Sexiest Lyric: "I want to hold the hand inside you/I want to take a breath that's true"

About to Pop: Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber

Who:
Justin Bieber
Album: 'My World'
Video: 'One Less Lonely Girl'
Hails From: Ontario, Canada
For Fans Of: Jesse McCartney, Justin Timberlake

Why He's About to Pop: When Justin Bieber visited PopEater last spring, we already had a feeling that the young singer was on the cusp of hitting it big. Although it was an early promotional appearance, Bieber impressed the staff with his confident attitude and talent, and his back story wasn't too shabby, either. The 15-year-old musician made a name for himself with homemade videos on YouTube, sparked a bidding war between Justin Timberlake and Usher -- who then landed him a record deal -- and built a growing fanbase via the Internet.

It's safe to say Bieber has since created an even greater buzz with a handful of catchy hit singles, including 'One Time,' 'One Less Lonely Girl,' 'Love Me' and 'Favorite Girl.' The singer has already presented at the VMAs, scheduled tour dates with Taylor Swift and made several TV appearances. Most recently, Bieber tells PopEater that he penned a song that he wants Diddy to record -- the two even hung out together, so that he could play it for him.

With things falling into place so quickly, Bieber has become quite the teen idol. But he seems poised to take it all in like a pro. The singer's debut album, 'My World,' is set to be released on Nov. 17, and he credits his success to his eager supporters, whom he says have made his dreams come true. "It seems like every day there is something new and exciting happening. I can't even begin to number them," Bieber tells PopEater. "Just to be able to make music and share it with the fans is pretty exciting."

About to Pop: Jaicko

Who: Jaicko
Album: 'Can I'
Video: 'Oh Yeah'
Hails From: Barbados
For Fans Of: The Dream, Chris Brown

Why He's About to Pop:
Jaicko's Caribbean-infused pop tunes are just hitting US radio this year, but he's been building his fanbase for years. "
I released a number of songs in Barbados," Jaicko told PopEater. "We have two Top 40 radio stations, and I used to get plugged in between Rihanna and Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z."

The singer, who recently visited PopEater to preview some catchy tunes from his debut album, 'Can I,' might not be asked for as many autographs here in New York just yet, but that's bound to change. Jaicko's first single, 'Oh Yeah,' has already been remixed by Snoop, and for the album tracks that he didn't self-produce, a notable team of producers -- Stargate (Ne-Yo, Beyonce), Rob Allen (Chris Brown, Rihanna) and Jim Jonson (Lil Wayne) -- lent a hand.

"The reason why I decided to name the album 'Can I' was because I was doing music from nine years old. I'm 18 now," Jaicko said. "From then 'til now, I went through a lot of struggles both personally and being in the music industry. That kind of motivated me to write the track. I think a lot of people will be able to relate to it ... I think the world needs a real track like that, coming from someone young." Check out an exclusive interview with Jaicko after the jump, and keep an eye out for his album, which is set to be released this winter.
