PopEater Poll Results: Kanye West Named Year's Biggest "Turkey"
Last week, PopEater teamed up with NiceOne! to see how celebrities sized up this year by letting our readers vote on various Thanksgiving polls -- and apparently they've all had enough of Kanye West, naming him 2009's Biggest Turkey. With 42% of the total votes, he beat out the likes of Spencer Pratt and Jon Gosselin. About to Pop: Jay Sean

Who: Jay Sean
Album: 'All or Nothing'
Video: 'Down'
Hails From: London
For Fans Of: Chris Brown, Craig David
Why He's About to Pop: Since embarking on his career in music, Jay Sean has dropped a handful of singles and two albums, and already toured extensively, performing for audiences at sold out shows worldwide. Sean's international success soon caught the attention of US record executive Ronald "Slim" Williams. Now, Sean is signed to a multi-album recording contract with Universal's Cash Money Records -- home to Lil Wayne, who collaborated with Sean on his No. 1 pop/R&B hit, 'Down' -- and is set to release his new album, 'All or Nothing.'
"Wayne is a huge inspiration, man," Sean tells PopEater. "I mean, just watching him at work and watching him on the video set and everything was super inspiring, 'cause that guy has got so much energy and is such a pro. You can just tell he's been in it for years, and he just doesn't stop grinding."
Sean has been keeping just as busy as Wayne -- 'All Or Nothing' is out on Nov. 24, and the singer is on tour in the US through December. "I'm all heart," Sean says. "I take risks and I go with my gut. Music is my passion, and I just had to give it a go. Otherwise, I don't think I'd ever be able to live with myself. Luckily, it's been working out great for me so far."

A few years ago, young children listening to Michael Jackson tunes might have been something their parents would warn them about. Given the accusations that arose about his relationships with children in the 90s, some parents might not want the iconic pop star to be one of their kid's favorites.
But as Jackson's death has shown us this year, the final farewell is a transformational step in the image of a major icon. The scandals that may have plagued his life -- inappropriate behavior with children, addiction, isolation -- cast clouds of judgment that, in death, are mere footnotes to the greater legacy of their cultural contributions.
Gaylord Fields, senior editor at Spinner.com, said the sudden death of a major entertainer allows their faults to be set aside. The scandal of their death may create headlines, but afterwords there is a wave of forgiveness that lasts longer than any misgivings.
