Enough with the politics in these comments this wasn't the politics forum. I have my opinions on politics but I'm not going to post them on popeater since I want to get away from politics.

OK, I watched the first episode last night. I predicted after watching the PAINFUL teaser that it would be the "My Mother the Car" of the 2000's... well, maybe worse. "My Mother the Car" lasted most of a season, I doubt if Kath and Kim get their second episode broadcast. It was horrible!

not too impressed with the US pilot...it was ok. never was a fan of the Aussie version either though...not sure what all the fuss was about. i guess it was supposed to be our ability to relate to kath and kim? hmm.

Isn't time NBC gets some good advice, some common sence, and realize the best show on TV is "Friday Night Lights". Fortunately, I have DirecTV and can watch the show every Wed night at 9 PM. DirecTV is the way to go, believe me.

When are the studios going to bring back the sitcom in full force? I'm so tired of reality TV, cop shows and hospital shows. I just want to have a good laugh at night. It's so much healthier for you in the long run.

A lot of the unfunny lines occur because the actors don't have a good sense of comedic timing. The lines are said on top of one another and there's no reaction time to set up the punch line. Chalk it up to bad acting and bad directing. The writing could be funnier, but the actors and director do very little with the little material they have.

The casting in this show, especially Selma Blair as the daughter, is questionable to say the least. The Australian version is brilliant, with real-looking actors playing the parts, but the plastic surgery enhanced pretty faces playing in the US version just don't fit the characters.Did the producers and casting people even see the Australian version?
