CSI' TV Guide Cover

The October 6th issue of TV Guide features 'CSI' stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger.

    TV Guide

On a 'CSI' movie: "I'd love to see us make a CSI film. It could be good if we did it right. The whole world is interested in the show. That's the other reason Grissom isn't going to die of a brain tumor."
What William Peterson would like to see happen between his 'CSI' character Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows (played by Marg Helgenberger): "We finally have sex? Believe me, it's been brewing all along. For me, anyway. They have this understanding with each other. There's a different kind of respect Grissom has for Catherine that would preclude a relationship on that level. Grissom’s not going away forever, anyway. Maybe he'll go to Mexico, then come back and take Catherine with him. A tequila holiday!"
On how Grissom will say good-bye: "We've been mapping out my last 10 episodes that will take Grissom from one place to another. There will be no brain tumor for four episodes. That's the easy way out. We're trying to paint it as we have done with Jorja [Fox] and Gary [Dourdan]. We're trying to make it as real and close to reality as the show has been all along."
Immediate plans following his 'CSI' departure: "The Chicago theater community breathlessly awaits my return." [This fall, Petersen will star in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company's production of 'Dublin Carol,' the play he took time off to star in two years ago.]
On plans to return to the 'CSI' set? "I'm going to come back and see the guys on set doing episodes I'm not in. And I'm staying on as a producer. The show is important to me, and I'm not abandoning it. I'm coming back on some level. I just don't know what yet."

I could see a really great CSI with Morgan Freeman in it as an CSI Investigator, he's believable, talented and has a great voice for the drama discecting the clues and leads etc...and also Robert Dinero as the police captain, he definitely has it all too, and Meryl Streep, great actress, great looks, intelligent..she's a must for catherines part. That would be one super flick!

Never did for the match between Grissom and Sarah. She always played the jealous type. I'm really glad she left the show. Its just as good without her, but I don't about him. If Peterson leaves it may not be the same.

GRISSOM RUNS A BY THE BOOK OPERATION THUS "HE SHALL NOT PUT HIS ROD IN HIS STAFF". GRISSOM, LADY HEATHER & SOME "MONKEY SEX" WOULD BE GREAT. THEY CAN WORK OUT THEIR PERSONAL ANXIETIES ON EACH OTHER. ALSO WOULD LOVE TO GRISSOM KNOCK THE LIVIN CCRAP OUT OF HIS BOSS. PROBABLY GET FIRED FOR THIS. BOSSES BOSS WOULD KEEP HIM ON A LONG LINE FOR FUTURE USE, IE: GIBBS ON "NCIS". I DEARLY LOVE BOTH OF THESE SHOWS. WOULD HATE TO SEE EITHER GO AWAY!MBO1146@AOL.COM

I'm sorry he is leaving- I love his charactor, it's the most interesting'on the show. As for Marg- I thought he was in love with the Jorjacharactor who is more interesting that Catherine charactor. My onlyquestion? why bring in Lawrence Fishburn- so there is a black actoron the show still?-why not promote Catherine- she has certainlybeen around long enough and ought to be able to do the job.I probably won't watch anymore after William leaves- I don't likeLawrence Fishburn as an actor and I think that the dynamic of the showwill be too changed for me.

William Petersen was the reason I started watching CSi in the first place, so I was overjoyed when CSI diversified and went to New York and Miami. That being said, I never felt Sara and Grissom baanced each other, since we never really got an explanation about Sara's passed experiences with abuse. I agree, Grissom should've stuck with Lady Heather, she was so much less needy.

Never did like Grissom or Sarah. The 2 of them as a couple could turn my stomach. Glad they are both gone. Warrick was cute in the first couple of seasons but became grungy looking the last couple so glad he's gone. And not crazy about ex-stripper what's her name. I like Nick and Greg.
