(Sept. 4) -- David Spade is the proud new father of a baby girl, and like any responsible parent, "plans to see the baby during his first break" from work. The baby was born on August 26.

Spade's rep confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE that he has "been in close contact" with Playboy Playmate Jillian Grace during her pregnancy. The two had a brief relationship, and Spade has said that pending DNA testing proving he's the dad, he'd take full responsibility.

I have always liked David Spade, & if this was a brief fling he should protect himsef financially, since he apparently didn't in the bedroom, which by the way thetyare BOTH responsible for the question even being an issue. I'm sure if he is the father he will be a good one.
