DBRB1993 - If you don't think the wealthy get tax breaks throught their corporations, etc...then you are grossly misinformed. My post was NOT to say who should pay more taxes. My post was to say that the government is giving away a lot of your hard earned dollars. I just don't understand why republicans are so upset when money goes to the poor but seem okay when it goes to the rich. It is obvious that the government pisses away so much of our money. This is NOT a republican or democratic concept. BOTH parties are big tax, big spend. It amazes me that republicans defend their party as the party of small government. I am a democrat and can easily say that my party wastes tons of money and is very corrupt. I would be happy to pay my share of taxes if it was used where it is neeed. I just don't think MY taxes should go towards fund tax deductable $470,000 spa vacations. And I REALLY don't think that should be the case after the company gets bailed out by MY tax dollars.

KROHNBONE - It is not that are giving the rich tax breaks - it is just htat why should they pay more than anyone else? They earn their money and should pay the same tax rate as the average person. A person whom makes 50,000.00 if the pay 20% tax will pay $10,000.00 A person who earns $500,000.00 who pays 20% will pay $100,000.00. That is fair. The person who has worked hard and now makes big money does not owe it to anyone as long as it is made legally.

Fey and others are exactly what our problem is today. There is nothing wrong with favoring one person over another, but where has our sense of reasoning and fair play gone.? What has happened to being civil to ones opponents ? Fey should buy herself one of those bright green t-shirt calling Sarah Palin a CUN -, BUT GUESS WHAT ? SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE GUTS. aNTHER SHOW BIZZ CUN - !

I need to ask Republicans this one question: If you are against welfare and helping the poor, why are you for helping the rich? What our government does, by giving tax breaks to the wealthy, etc, amounts to welfare for the rich. I'm just not sure where you have a problem. The government is handing out your hard earned dollars. That is a given. I don't care who is in charge. Dems, repubs...They are taking YOUR money and giving it to somebody. I think we can all agree that they take WAY too much of our money to give to other people. I would just rather see my money go to those that need it. There are people who will cheat the system. No doubt. But our system is now set up to allow the wealthy to legally cheat with no repercussions. Indeed, they cheated the system, caused searious financial problems and got rewarded with a bailout.
