(Jan. 8) - Patrick Swayze talked with Barbara Walters about his struggle with pancreatic cancer and discusses how much time he has to live in his first interview since revealing he had been diagnosed with the disease.
"Five years is pretty wishful thinking," the 'Dirty Dancing' star told Walters, who had been pressing the heavy question. "Two years seems likely if you're going to believe statistics." Discussion Begins @ 02:23 >>

The defiant actor also told Walters that he's "never been one to run from a challenge," but also "going through hell." Highlights Below
Hoping for a Cure: "If anybody had that cure out there, like so many people swear they do, you'd be two things. You'd be very rich, and you'd be very famous. Otherwise, shut up."
How He Feels Now: "There's a lot of fear here. There's a lot of stuff going on. Yeah, I'm scared. Yeah, I'm angry. Yeah, I'm [asking] why me. Yeah, I'm all this stuff."
How He Realized Something Was Wrong in Late 2007: "I tried to have champagne, and it would be like pouring acid, you know, on an open wound."
What Happened Next: "My indigestion issues got gigantic and constant. And then I started thinking, I'm getting skinny. I dropped about 20 pounds in the blink of an eye. And then when you see it in the mirror, when all of a sudden, you pull your eyes down and the bottom of your eyes go yellow and jaundice sets in -- then you know something's wrong."

Why He Got Help: "I started doing a little research and started realizing this is not pretty. This is not a good thing."
His Response to Being Diagnosed With Life-Threatening Pancreatic Cancer: "Watch me! You watch what I pull off." Read about Pancreatic Cancer on AOL Health.
His Determination: "I keep dreaming of a future, a future with a long and healthy life, not lived in the shadow of cancer, but in the light."
Working on 'The Beast,' a New Series on A&E: "I think everybody thought I was out of my mind, you know, thinking I'm gonna pull off a TV show."

Yes, their is a soul. And God made man, and breathed into his nostrils the life of a living soul. We are talking about the God of Isaac, Abraham, and Jacob. I'll be uplifting you in prayer Patrick, and asking God to send you the comforter. May you accept the work done at the cross as Jesus withstood all of the world's sins into his body, unto death, thereby conquering sin. So that any who believe on Jesus, that he did this for us, would be forgiven and saved. By faith we believe Jesus and confess it with our mouth that he died on the cross and believe it in our heart that he did, and that he arose three days out of the grave, and thou shalt be saved.

Cool guy, good attitude. Although not much hope, where there is life ther's hope. Since any man's death diminishes us all, I hope there is a miracle for Pat and anyone else who needs it.

How can you compare things like a broken thumb and flu symptoms on a plane to Patrick's pancreatic cancer??? Most of those other "celebrity health scares" need to be in another category.

He needs to put down the cigarrettes and pick up the Bible. May he seek God with all his heart while there is still time left.

I truly believe Swayze could kick cancer's ass like his character in Road House. Wishful thinking, I suppose. My boyfriend thinks the same with me. He is eight years older than me. lol. We met online at Agelessfriends.com , a nice and free place for younger women and older men, or older women and younger men, to interact with each other.
