While I don't deny people (like Zen) to have preferences, I do believe that people are entirely to shallow today. They base their feelings for one another on the most superficial reasons (what kind of car, house, job, etc.) a person has without giving the person a chance to prove what kind of person he/she truly is. There's nothing wrong with prefrences, but when you take them too far (put others down; feel superior) they do become prejudices. I've met people from all walks of life: from the "lowliest" cleaning person to the "upper echelon" of corporate America and I can tell you that it's what's INSIDE a person that really counts. If you are a jerk, wearing a $3,000 suit or driving a $50,000 car isn't going to transform you into a nicer person. You'll still be a jerk on the inside (just with better packaging). OK, I just have to comment on Zen. I am a 6 ft tall woman who has dated men both shorter and taller than me. In my opinion, if a man can date a woman taller than him it shows he has a good deal of self confidence. Why should I let something as stupid as height deter me from dating a wonderful man??? I am currently dating someone who is about 4 inches shorter than me (and that's when I'm not wearing heels) and I have absolutely no problem with it. And neither does he; he thinks it's sexy as hell!!!
